Wilson Analytical is a manufacturer of lab quality analytical instrumentation. Featuring rugged, high quality construction and optically stabilized LED light sources, our versatile instrumentation is portable and flexible enough to meet a wide spectrum of scientific and industrial needs
I have worked with Wilson on numerous projects over the years. We have developed stabilized light sources, an open platform system that is like Lego in the lab, a self contained lab box spectrometer as well as other lab tools.
1. Client
Wilson Analytical approached me to help them develop a new system for lab use that would allow the user to reconfigure their device as they needed to without having to purchase multiple one purpose units.
2. Challenge
We had to incorporate Wilson Analyticals current components into a whole new system while also maintaining the quality and precision of high end laboratory equipment.
3. Solution
I took a page out of the children's toy catalogue and approached the problem as a if it were a toy. The base unit would contain slides and mounts that would allow us to make custom brackets for ours and our suppliers components.
