The simple concept involved bringing together design and tangible benefits for users in a credible manner. This has given rise to attractive keyboards, which are very easy to clean and disinfect. The Cleansweep software associated with the keyboards enables any user to individually set or check the necessary cleaning cycles. Cleansweep monitors the degree of contamination on the keyboard
1. Client
Cleankeys engaged me to work on incremental improvements to their current products and to develop future products for their market segment.
2. Challenge
The challenge was to create a single key profile which could act as a solid surface in one product and a tactile surface in another while also allowing for the user to touch type.
3. Solution
I developed a key shape that would centre the users fingers on the keys and incorporated the same manufacturing processes as used in toothbrushes to provide a flexible trim around the keys.
